i love that you did this! i just saw Bearden’s glue collographs for the first time in an exhibit recently and thought what a great project for young artists. Great to see how wonderful it turns out, I will be borrowing your technique.

I had a mom tell me about an activity with peeps her preschool age son did this past Easter at their preschool. They dipped peeps in vanilla pudding and rubbed it across finger paint paper! Hmmm…next spring

I use masking tape on black paper…and they place it where they wish and then use markers to color the tape. They enjoy this. Once we had just The Three Pigs…so they were saying “Not by the hair on my chinny-chin chin” and were placing their strips of tape on their chin. Hilarious! Also, we were just at Michael’s…wow…they have so many different patterns for duct tape anymore! So cool!

Ah! We are doing this next week. We did flowers this week and are moving into bugs and such next week. So I have a flower shaped swatters and butterfly shaped swatters. I’m hoping for nice weather so we can do this outside!

Loved that last picture No soap needed in that batch of laundry. Am definitely going to try this technique for coloring paper. Great for vases and flowers. Hmmm…wish this week wasn’t so filled up! Will have to do it another time. Thanks for the idea!
